Sales Job Career

For many fresh graduates, looking for a job in today’s economy is very challenging. Companies are not actively hiring employees who are looking to establish their career as the only available jobs are part-time and dead end jobs without the chances of being promoted to a higher position.

The tough economy has even terminated the career for those who already have a promising job so you can expect the challenge to even increase for fresh graduates. But they still need to earn and look for opportunities as much as possible.

One of the most attractive opportunities for fresh graduates and to those who were terminated from work is to consider a career in sales. Compared to other career types, sales cannot easily be terminated since they are essential to the company’s operation.

Without the sales people, the company will not be able to earn anything at all because there are no clients. Sales people are even in demand in some industries because they need more people to aggressively sell their products in order to survive the economy. If you have the skills, then you can survive or even prosper even with recession.

But a career in sales is often shunned by those who are trying to establish a career. A career in sales is not something that you can easily learn – you need to have experience, technique and even “charm” so that you can easily convince clients. The pressure to perform is always there since there will always be quota for every sales person.

Money factor is also considered in a career in sales. While it is true that you can earn through a salary, there are sales jobs that freely hires anyone because they are only paid by commission. Even with all your efforts, you will never be paid if you do not have any sale.

The commission-based salary for sales persons is exactly the reason why you can create a career in sales even though you do not have a job. Instead of being asked to report for work everyday, you can visit the office at your preferred time and never be scolded for it.

Sure there is pressure to perform but they will never pay you anyway if you do not have any output. You can even work at home and just contact business to sell their products. It does not even matter how many companies you work for.

A career in sales is not even limited to face-to-face selling. You can also create a website where you can sell products and earn commission for every sale. This is called affiliate marketing. There are numerous marketing companies that you can find online that consistently recruits webmasters to create a website and sell the products on their behalf. You can be an online marketer wherein you sell products and earn a commission for each sale.

A sales career does not have to be in an office with intense pressure to sell. There are commission based and online opportunities you can consider so that you will earn even if you do not have a job.
